The administrative and political units of Busia County are the managerial and decision making structures of the county that are used in handling socio-economic development issues affecting the people of the county. The county’s administrative and political units are shown below

Administrative Units
Busia County is divided into seven administrative Sub-counties namely Funyula, Budalang’i, Butula, Matayos, Nambale, Teso North and Teso South. These Sub-counties are further divided into 10 divisions, 60 locations and 181 sub-locations under the National Government’s County administration as shown in Table Below

Political Units
The County has seven (7) constituencies namely Teso North, Teso South, Funyula, Nambale, Matayos, Budalang’i and Butula, and 35 electoral wards as shown in Table below.
