"Gateway to East and Central Africa"

Nambale Sub County Residents have a reason to smile as the proposed theatre block at the Nambale Sub-county Hospital is 95% complete.

This was ascertained after a site visit to the facility by officials from both Public Works and Health Departments.

The theatre block which is funded by World Bank through the Kenya Devolution Support Program (KDSP) is one of the flagship projects undertaken by the program in Busia County.

The building which will house two theatre rooms will be handed over to the Department of Health in two weeks time as requested by the contractor to enable him finish on the remaining works.

The Project Manager, who is the acting Director, in the Directorate of Public Works, Eng. Johnkevin Otwani lauded the progress made on the project and encouraged contractors in Busia County to be open to supervision from Public Works Officers so as to deliver quality projects to the residents of Busia in line with Governor Ojaamong's agenda of a more developed Busia County.

The theatre once complete will be fully equipped with theatre facilities so as to bring surgical services closer to residents of Nambale Sub county as stated by Dr. Janerose Ambuchi, Director Medical Services, who was representing Chief Officer (Medical Services) Dr. Isaac Omeri.
