Malaba Bus Park in Malaba border town, Teso North Sub County is now complete after months of rehabilitation.

Brief Project Scope:
Levelling of the ground, rock filling, blinding, hand packing, murram placement, dusting, construction of drainage system and laying of cabro paving blocks to ease movement of vehicles and people within the park and rehabilitation of the main shed.
Busia Governor HE Sospeter Ojaamong has commissioned an ECDE classroom at Okwata Primary School in Amukura West Ward that was constructed by the County Government of Busia.
This brings to 11 the total number of ECDE centres constructed by the County Governent of Busia in Amukura West Ward, with one more at Odiria Primary under construction.
Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has commissioned a sh15 million Oxygen Manufacturing Plant at the Busia County Referral Hospital (BCRH).
Addressing journalists, Ojaamong said the plant is the biggest in western region, noting that it will supply gas to wards, theatre, maternity and the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Accident and Emergency block.
Busia County Referral Hospital (BCRH) received a boost in its Coronavirus (Covid-19) fight with a donation of four ventilators and assorted items from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The items were handed over to Busia Deputy Governor, HE Moses Mulomi on behalf of Governor, H.E Sospeter Ojaamong by USAID representative Cecilia Amahaya outside the County Government headquarters on Thursday.
The road to better garbage collection within Busia Municipality is now on course with the delivery of one of the two tractors purchased by the World Bank through the Kenya Urban Support Programme (KUSP).
Acting County Executive Committee Member for Lands, Housing and Urban Development Mr John Mwami said each tractor will have self-skip loader for easier collection of solid waste.
He further disclosed the department has procured seven skip bins that will be stationed at strategic collection stations.
Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has commissioned state of the art 30-bed male ward at the Kocholiya Sub County Hospital in Teso North Sub County.
Speaking after officially launching the Sh13million facility funded by the World Bank through the Kenya Devolution Support Programme (KDSP), H.E Ojaamong said it is an achievement for the County Government of Busia which remains committed towards ensuring that residents get healthcare services.
